308 is an Australian company, owned by its two co-founders and run from Sydney since 2022. It has two modes, Continuity and Research. This page covers who runs it, how it’s set up and the documents that back that up.
308 grew out of an eclectic path. Technology, cyber and software delivery, years leading people inside large organisations, study in international relations and war studies, and disaster relief work on and off across three years. Every one of them showed the same thing.
The way critical work gets built is broken. Products are shaped around the vendor, not the people who depend on them. Startups compete when they should build together. Services stop at the invoice, and impact is left for later. 308 exists to do it the other way, with the people who carry the risk, partners who share the upside, and pro bono capacity built into the model from the start.
We named the company after HTTP status code 308, Permanent Redirect. The old path doesn’t work. We’re the new one.

BA studied international relations and war studies. Before 308, BA spent more than nine years in technology, cyber and software delivery and fifteen leading people across health, defence, automotive and hospitality. NM trained in mechatronics. Before 308, NM spent more than six years at a large AI firm automating the back-end systems of government agencies, insurers and financial services firms. At 308, NM leads Continuity, from how a system really runs to a handover the client’s own team can operate.
Our people and partners work in places where a name on a website is a real exposure, so there’s no team page. Partners decide project by project whether they’re named, and it makes no difference to how the upside is shared. Each engagement’s data stays in the zone for its jurisdiction, spread across more than one cloud provider and operating system so no single vendor holds all of it.
It keeps the decision to stop a product cheap, and the standard stays where we set it. Spin-outs are different. When one needs to grow faster, it raises outside capital.
HTTP status code 308 means Permanent Redirect. When a browser gets one, the old address is finished and every request goes to the new one from then on. That’s the move we’re making.
